Zum 53. Mal und erstmals nach der Corona-Pandemie trafen sich vom 16. bis 20 Januar 2023 Staatsoberhäupter, Regierungsdelegationen und Vertreter der Wirtschaft in Davos zum Weltwirtschaftsforum. Unter dem Motto „Zusammenarbeit in einer fragmentierten Welt“ diskutierten sie vor allem die dominierenden Themen Ukraine-Krieg und Klimaschutz. Im Vergleich zu den vorigen Ausgaben des Treffens blieben jedoch viele führende Staatschefs fern, allen voran US-Präsident Joe Biden. Dennoch kamen rund 2500 Teilnehmer nach Davos.

Während der Veranstaltung entwickelte sich der Flughafen Zürich wie gewohnt zu einem Drehkreuz für VIP-Flugzeuge aus der ganzen Welt. Rund 1000 zusätzliche Flugbewegungen wurden erwartet, einschließlich der VIP-Transporte nach Davos mit Hubschraubern der Schweizer Luftwaffe.
Das nächste WEF findet vom 15. bis 19. Januar 2024 statt.

For the 53rd time and for the first time since the Corona pandemic, heads of state, government delegations and business representatives met in Davos from 16 to 20 January 2023 for the World Economic Forum. Under the motto “Cooperation in a fragmented world”, they mainly discussed the dominant topics of the Ukraine war and climate protection. Compared to previous editions of the meeting, however, many leading heads of state stayed away, most notably US President Joe Biden. Nevertheless, around 2500 participants came to Davos.
During the event, Zurich Airport developed as usual into a hub for VIP aircraft from all over the world. Around 1000 additional aircraft movements were expected, including VIP transport to Davos by Swiss Air Force helicopters.
The next WEF will take place from 15 to 19 January 2024.
