Airshow Le Touquet

Wer eine entspannte Airshow vor malerischer Kulisse sucht dürfte mit dem Meeting Aériene in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage fündig werden. An der Atlantikküste südlich von Calais gelegen bietet der Ort eine ausgiebige Strandpromenade, die einmal im Jahr am Sonntag-Nachmittag zum Schauplatz eines kleinen aber feinen Flugtags wird. In diesem Jahr war am 1. Juli für viele Besucher die Kunstflugstaffel „Patrouille de France“ das Highlight für die zahlreichen Besucher, die bei freiem Eintritt und gutem Wetter an den Strand pilgerten.

Ein Dauphin-Hubschrauber der französischen Marineflieger eröffnete die Show. Weitere Highlights waren die Demonstrationen zweier Rafale und einer Falcon 10 – ebenfalls von der Marine Nationale, und das Rafale-Solo-Display der Armée de l’Air. An Oldtimern waren eine Bücker Bü 131, Dassault Flamant, North American T-28 und Supermarine Spitfire vertreten. Außerdem gab es aus Belgien das Red-Devils-Team, eine NH90 und das F-16-Display zu sehen.

If you are looking for a relaxed airshow in a picturesque setting, the Meeting Aériene in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage is the place to be. Situated on the Atlantic coast south of Calais, the town offers an extensive beach promenade, which once a year on a Sunday afternoon becomes the venue for a small but fine airshow. This year, on 1 July, the “Patrouille de France” aerobatic team was the highlight for the many visitors who made the pilgrimage to the beach with free admission and good weather.

A Dauphin helicopter of the French Navy opened the show. Other highlights were the demonstrations of two Rafale and a Falcon 10 – also from the Marine Nationale, and the Rafale solo display of the Armée de l’Air. In terms of vintage aircraft, a Bücker Bü 131, Dassault Flamant, North American T-28 and Supermarine Spitfire were represented.
